Peter Walsh

When I was a kid I would get stern warnings from museum security guards not to touch the work. I still have the urge to touch the works in museums.

I love texture and color. I want people to have to fight the urge to touch my paintings. I let the oil paint lead me when I build heavily textured canvas, filled with color. The colors I choose allow viewers to bring their own emotions to the piece, so each painting is about whatever the viewer sees.
