Her work is about women and how they survive through time. She works in several different clay bodies utilizing techniques that result in ‘aging’ textures. Ceramic print techniques continue this ‘antiquity.’ She fires her work using c.10, low fire c.06, and atmospheric kilns including soda and salt firing. Each surface treatment she creates transpires her art further into history as if her pieces were buried underground for centuries.
