I work primarily in traditional film formats – from Holga images to a view camera – and experimental techniques such as Polaroid transfers. For my still-life work, I find inspiration in Renaissance Flemish and Dutch paintings; in my photographs, I search for the same unique quality of light I found in those paintings but try to capture it in compositions using contemporary objects. In the Landscapes series, I look for traces of human presence organically intertwined with nature capturing the landscape subtly transformed by human artifacts even in absence of humans themselves.
