Primarily self-trained, I have had a passion for photography since my childhood and have been shooting photos since 2000. My work focuses on documenting the beauty, complications, emotions and surprises of everyday life.
I see form and art in something most people would not, and bring it to light in a photograph. It doesn’t necessarily matter what the subject is, but whether or not it is open for interpretation. I have the ability to give new information and provide the viewer with insight into a quality that they cannot ordinarily experience. My compositions are direct, to the point of appearing minimal, while my subject matter, conversely discloses significant complexity. In all of my bodies of work, I strive to challenge myself to push technical norms and include compelling and thought provoking images.
I grew up outside of Chicago and have my work regularly featured at galleries, executive offices and private collections.
