– PHOTOGRAPHY, POETRY, MUSIC and FILM
OPENING RECEPTION: Friday, October 2, from 6 to 9 p.m
GENTLE, a pop-up multimedia installation and a book presentation organized by Renata Plaga at DreamBox Gallery and Cup & Spoon will open on Friday, October 2, 2015.
The limited edition of GENTLE, a book of minimalist poems by Renata Plaga is combined with the work of three women photographers, Iwona Biedermann, Heidi Knez and Kasia Opara, which explore distinct themes of gentleness. Opara explores the imagination, Knez captures the fragility and simplicity of the moment, and Biedermann follows the perception of beauty in stillness of time and in motion.
The book is a starting point for the GENTLE installation at the DreamBox Gallery, which features photography, poetry, and painting by Stanislaw Młodożeniec. The presentation includes also animation by Paweł Szarzyński, a short film by Szymon Nowak and Janusz Szymański with music by Jerzy Wołochowicz. The book was designed by Robin Hilger.
In this fusion of artistic forms, the installation stimulates questions about the role of fragility, vulnerability and gentleness in contemporary lives.
